- Reason for selling: We’d like a larger half-draft type for our lesson program, as our resident “Big Guy” is retiring. Wednesday is actively working in our lesson program and while she loves all the people and attention, we think she’d be wasted as a lesson horse in this stage of her life and training. She’s a brave and adventurous horse and would like to be someone’s partner and buddy.

“Wednesday” a 2017 grulla ApHC mare, was the 2020 Insiders horse with Double Dan Horsemanship and started under saddle at the Australian Equine Performance Center in Kentucky. She has a world-class education for a young horse – in addition to under saddle work Wednesday is trained for liberty work and suitable for ILHA competition. She has been trained to lay down, sit and come to a mark.
At our home farm Wednesday is ridden out on trails and over obstacles. She is unflappable and exceptionally friendly. She loads and hauls like a dream, stands for vet and farrier, and is handled by everyone in our program, from our littlest lead-line students on up. She stands at 14.3 and with an elegant frame, carries youth and adult riders well. (Pictured rider is 5’7″ and approximately 150lbs. Or, as she likes to say, 5 feet, 7.75 inches.)
Wednesday has excellent movement with a forward, ground covering stride. She has a “10” stop and trot. With her unflappable and friendly nature, she can make you a fun recreational partner, yet also has the talent and athleticism to make an exceptional performance horse.
